Lamptron FC3 Fan Controller Review
Looking for a new Fan controller, Lamptron are a good place to start. With a wide selection of computer accessories to choose from Lamptron make themselves a one stop shop for most of your modding needs.
Lamptron FC3
Here we have the FC3 which is a 5.25″ Mid – High end 4 fan Controller. It comes with very high load rating of 30W per channel. It can control the fans from 0 rpm to the fans maximum speed as well as having the ability to switch the fan off completely. It features LED lighting which fades as the fan is slowed down.
Looking at the circuit, it’s designed with high loads in mind which seems to be a standard set with all of their modding accessories. It draws power from a 4 pin molex connector and re-sends it via the 3 pin fan connector leads. They supply enough extensions to make it easy to route to most parts of the case. The FC3 also has a nice chunky piece of 3/4″ CNC cut aluminium mounted on the front which is available in Black or Plain. As you can see from the picture it looks very good, even in this old case.
